Spring full of birthdays

Calvin had a tennis birthday party this year. It took some creative thinking to make this cake with the tennis ball cupcakes. I used string licorice for the raquet strings and a fruit by the foot for the grip.

We made treat bags and cut tennis balls out of green paper to decorate them. Calvin and his friends had a great time on the court and played lots of fun tennis games. They liked the game where they got to try and hit a balloon with their raquet the best.

Bella turned one on March 28th. She got her own little cake and she actually ate quite a bit of it. She made a huge mess but impressed us with her ability to dig in.

Paul's birthday is on the same day as Bella. He got the big cake version of Bella's minus the pink frosting. Calvin was the big helper during the party and loved blowing out everyone's candles.
