Katherine turned 9 on September 4th and had an awesome backyard birthday party with 27 of her closest friends!! She had a sports themed party with soccer, tennis and football games. We had perfect weather and an amazing turnout since it was Labor day weekend.
Katherines cakes were really fun to make. I cooked them in a glass bowl to make them look like balls. Then we made cupcakes for the tennis balls. The kids thought it was great. 
We divided the kids into two groups. One played soccer relay games on the upper grass and the second group played games on the tennis court. Afterwards we had a huge water fight! 
More games on the tennis court. Katherine said this was her best birthday party ever because so many of her friends came to her party and she got to spend time with all the people she loves playing the sports she loves most!! (She also didn't mind all the gifts she received)
